Erwin Redl, “Whiteout”

A sea of LED orbs will float above the grass in Madison Square Park with a computer-generated wave pattern that will illuminate everything around you and make you feel like you’re surrounded by snow.
Expedition: Fashion from the Extreme
The Museum at FIT, 27th Street and 7th Avenue
September 15, 2017 – January 6, 2018
The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology features a display of pieces, both historical and contemporary, that were made to wear for survival in extreme weather conditions on earth and beyond.

Yayoi Kusama Infinity Nests

The David Zwirner Gallery is presenting two exhibitions of recent works by Yayoi Kusama in New York. An Instagram delight, check out The Festival of Life, a mirror and light display, in Chelsea and Infinity Nets, 66 paintings from her My Eternal Soul series, on the Upper East Side.
